Activities

The SCP pursues its mission to promote Christian philosophical fellowship and work in a number of ways outside of its journal.  In terms of grants, the SCP provides grants for outstanding students who are presenting at an SCP conference and up to $1,500 for small philosophy departments to bring in members of the SCP to give lectures on campus.

In terms of events, the SCP hosts regular conferences to stimulate fellowship between Christian philosophers. Some of these meetings are held in conjunction with the meetings of other scholarly associations, including the American Catholic Philosophical Association, the Eastern, Central, and Pacific Divisions of the American Philosophical Association, and the American Academy of Religion.  Additionally, the SCP hosts its own conferences either at the national or regional level with meetings occurring regularly in the Eastern, Midwest, and Mountain-Pacific regions.
