BATS: British Analytic Theology Symposium Call for Abstracts

The British Analytic Theology Symposium (BATS) 2026 organizing committee invites abstract submissions for its inaugural symposium. There is no specific theme and submissions are welcome from all religious traditions.
Keynotes:
Prof. Brian Leftow (Rutgers University)
Prof. William Wood (University of Oxford)
Format:
Each paper will be allotted 40 minutes in total—20 minutes for presentation (approximately 2,500 words maximum) followed by 20 minutes for discussion.
Submission Guidelines:
Please submit an abstract of up to 400 words outlining the main argument and contribution of your paper.
Include a separate cover page with your name, institutional affiliation (as well as role at the institution), paper title, and contact details.
Submissions should be sent as a single PDF file to david.worsley@york.ac.uk.
Deadline for submission: 31st December 2025
Notification of acceptance: 28th February 2026
