The Society of Christian Philosophers, with generous funding from the John Templeton Foundation, announces the five Graduate Student Cross-Training (GSCT) Fellowship recipients for the 2017-2018 academic year. The GSCT Fellowship program is intended to equip graduate student members of the Society of Christian Philosophers with an opportunity to take up to one academic year to develop competency in an empirical science connected with their philosophical research. This year’s recipients are:
Allison Thornton (Baylor), cross-training in biology
Isaac Wilhelm (Rutgers), cross-training in physics
Vivek Mathew (Cornell), cross-training in cognitive science and psychology
Eddy Chen (Rutgers), cross-training in physics
Hayden Kee (Fordham), cross-training in developmental psychology
Each fellowship recipient receives a $30,000 stipend, $2,000 for research/travel funds, and $2,000 for their home institution. The GSCT Fellowship program is directed by Kevin Timpe (Calvin College) and Christian B. Miller (Wake Forest University).
